Klune-V is proud to announce availability of kits to install the "Extreme Underdrive" in Toyota Land Cruisers. Put our planetary crawl box between your transmission and transfer case, and give yourself deeper low-range options while keeping optimum highway and intermediate gearing. Now you can have either the 2.72:1 low-range reduction of our "Goliath" model, or the 4.0:1 of our "David" model. Use our low range alone, or multiplied with your existing transfer case low range for the ultimate low gearing. You can also select our 1:1 high range when either your transfer case high or low ratios alone are enough: on the road, or getting to the tough stuff.

Our mix-and-match approach lets you use the drivetrain parts you have, or step up to those you want. Use your current short 16-spline or 19-spline Land Cruiser transmission, or - by selecting from other front adapters we have available - you can mate our crawl box to many non-Toyota transmissions. Our rear adapters let you keep your Land Cruiser 1-piece transfer case, or upgrade to the later, stronger 2-piece "split" transfer case. You'll also have the option of switching to non-Toyota transfer cases if you are running a non-Land Cruiser rear axle.

In addition to the "straight-back" mounting, our kits allow you the option of rotating your transfer case up or down either 9 or 18 degrees, to increase ground clearance or to improve drive shaft angles. They also permit you to remove the Toyota transfer cases from your vehicle as a unit, without disassembly.

Our crawl box's planetary gear sets handle horsepower from the stock straight-6 to wild V-8s, and stand up to the torque of either gas or diesel engines. All in a 6 1/2" long package as rugged as your Land Cruiser !

- Crawl boxes: 1:1 high range, your choice of 2.72:1 or 4.0:1 low-range; includes a main shaft / transfer case input shaft (with either 16 or 19 splines, to mate with your existing Land Cruiser transfer case gears), a cable shifter, and a laser-cut, clockable steel foot mount.

- Front kit to mate our crawl boxes to the short Land Cruiser 4-speed (16-spline and 19-spline output) manual transmissions. 1" thick; includes a new transmission main shaft, a two-piece front adapter, and all the necessary hardware.

- Rear kit to mate our crawl boxes to the 1-piece (16-spline input) transfer case. 1" thick; includes a CNC-machined aluminum adapter, a thrust bearing, and all the necessary hardware.

- Rear kits to mate our crawl boxes to the early (no front input bearing) or late (with front input bearing) 2-piece "split" (19-spline input) transfer case. 1" thick; includes a CNC- machined aluminum adapter, a thrust bearing, and all the necessary spacers, bearing retainers, and hardware.

- Shifter kits for Toyota 1-piece transfer case and 2-piece transfer case; include custom brackets, a cable shifter, heim joints, and threaded rod.

All shafts, adapters, and hardware are made to the aerospace quality level you've come to expect from Klune-V. You'll need to fabricate a crossmember and adjust drive shaft lengths; we suggest you consider a small (2") body lift if you haven't already done so. Our prototypes are pictured.
