Automatic trans replacement: All of the major components are supplied for this conversion, with these exceptions:
The clutch pedal assembly. If desired we can source these parts from a dealer, however most likely at a higher cost than you can buy them direct from the dealer.
Auto trans applications will also require replacement of the transfer case input shaft with a larger 29 spline part, or upgrade of the transfer case. We can work up a package to accomplish this.
(conversions from automatic) These parts are available from the dealer. You will want the stock bracket, pedals and linkage components from your same-year stick-equipped vehicle. The master cylinder we supply will fit this assembly.
The (Brand New) NV5600 transmission can be supplied in 4WD configuration, for use with Dodge style transfer cases 1993 and up. Adapters for other transfer cases are available, contact High Impact
The (Brand New) NV5600 are standard supplied with a fixed output yoke, and are equipped for Dodge electronic speedo drive.
You will need to have your driveshafts modified for length. A local driveshaft shop is usually available to do this. If necessary, we can do it, however it is better to install the unit FIRST, then measure and build/modify driveshafts
You may need to relocate your crossmember, this can usually be done by re-drilling the frame and bolting into the desired location. You will need to drill the crossmember for the bolts to the larger NV4500 transmission mount
Automatic conversions: It will be necessary to cut a hole in your floorboard to accommodate the stick shift. A simple boot can be mounted over the hole to dress this.

Lubrication
This transmission requires specific additives in its oil. The oil is available from Dodge. There is also a Pennzoil Part number 3501 that our New Venture supplier supports. If you are purchasing the trans from us, we can supply oil with the unit, since the trans is shipped truck freight. We cannot sell oil separately as it cannot be shipped UPS.
Manufacturer's
specs indicate it holds 5 qts, however we recommend putting in 6 qts.
There has been a problem with rear mainshaft bearing failure due to
inadequate lubrication. Adding the extra oils resolves this problem.
