Trans main Case is 12.375 long

Input shaft is 1-18" dia, 10 spline

4WD Versions

The 4WD version of the trans came in the 70s with a 10 spl output, which coupled to the Tcase a coupler

In the 80s, the trans began to come with a 32 spl output shaft. 1/2T and some 3/4T trucks came with a NP208 adapter. Some 3/4T trucks and all 1T trucks came with an NP205 Tcase

 NP208 type OEM adapter is 8.38" Long. The sock 32spl mainshaft sticks out appx 3/8" beyond that.
